One of the most extraordinary buildings in Britain, The Piece Hall in Halifax reopened to the public on 1st August 2017 following a £19 million restoration, heralding the most dynamic new era for Halifax and Calderdale in generations.

We devised and delivered the PR strategy from the initial funding bid seven years earlier, through to completion, using the key milestones throughout to build confidence and momentum.

On re-opening day, nearly 23,000 people walked through The Piece Hall gates. The impact on the town was huge,  with cash machines running out of money, cafes running out of food and Eureka! recording their highest visitor numbers in two years.

Exactly two years later, we celebrated the milestone of five million visitors, far exceeding the original target of 1.6 million visitors per year. Eight out of ten local people polled by the Halifax Courier named The Piece Hall as the best thing about Halifax.

The media coverage book for The Piece Hall is one of the best we’ve ever produced. Thousands of editorial pieces have been achieved across local, regional, national and international media.

We continue to work for the Trust to help make The Piece Hall an international cultural and heritage destination.
